this specific recording gives me an odd feeling, nostalgic but at the same time a feeling of dread or loss as if the world has ended. I think it's one of the better performances by the siren and I'm definitely sad that it's not around anymore. Hopefully someone, somewhere is taking the effort to preserve one of these.
I fell something like what you feel too. It has always sounded like those lost childhood memories and memories of very specific moments in life where there is no melancholy or a lot of happiness, just pure peace and calm. I think it feels like this because it is a very simple sound but with a magnitude so big that it imposes this feeling of safety(? idk it kind of feels like it but not quite)
There's actually a few. There's the city of yawatahama trying to keep theirs running for as long as possible. Then there's YAMAHA of all companies that preserved this exact siren as photos were found of it in a storage unit. I unfortunately can not find the photos anywhere, though.
easily one of the most impressive performances from this music siren. really shows its true capability that isn't shown with its traditional songs, "home sweet home" and "linden tree".

For those wondering what song is playing, it's Debussy's Arabasque
But it's sounds different but very enjoyable
Yes
Actually for me that's the best version
This is the most amazing and beautiful recording of the siren
0:58 That was beautiful.
agreed, I've saved this video and have rewatched it too many times to could lol
i guess im not the only one feeling that
That bit right there is why I came here. I don't know why but it hit me with a profound sense of nostalgia.
it's amazing

What song is it?
